UK Board of Healthcare Chaplaincy accredited

On August 22, the Professional Standards Authority of the United Kingdom accredited the UK Board of Healthcare Chaplaincy’s register. This means that UK chaplains are now eligible, upon registration with the UKBHC, to refer to themselves as “Board Registered Chaplain.” According to the UKBHC press released, registration assures the public of the Board’s accountability, its maintenance of high standards of practice and behavior, and regulation of the profession. This is a great step forward for the profession and we congratulate the UKBHC for their remarkable achievement.
