Objectives of Research Related Curriculum Events

• To engage CPE Residents to develop research literacy as a “habit” for and dimension of their ministry practice.

• To clarify, broaden, and deepen CPE residents’ awareness of chaplaincy-related research and worthy research articles that contribute to a research-informed approach to their provision of spiritual and religious care.

• To develop the capacities of CPE residents to become critical readers of research related to spiritual care and to develop their confidence as informed research consumers.

• To foster interest and curiosity in CPE residents about their own and others’ provision of spiritual and religious care that give rise to research inquiry and thinking.
